To remove a water inlet valve, you must first turn OFF the hot and cold water at the wash station. Remove the two fill hoses with water pump pliers.
Remove two to four screws that secure the valve to the washer cabinet. To remove the water inlet valve from the washer cabinet, open the washer top.
Remove wires from the water inlet valve and note the sequence in which the wires are removed. You will have to reinstall the removed wires to the replacement part valve in the same order as they were removed.
Using hose clamp pliers, remove two clamps that are attached to the inlet valve hose and tub ring and remove the faulty water inlet valve.
NOTE: When reinstalling the hose clamps on the replacement water inlet valve, do not install the hose clamps in the original grooves from which they were removed.
Install the replacement water inlet valve by mounting in the same position as the faulty inlet valve that was removed. Follow instructions that are provided in the replacement part kit. If no installation steps are provided, reverse the above steps.
To gain access to the water level control of the automatic washer, you must remove the screws to washer console back panel with hand tools. Remove the water level control selector knob from the control console of the washer by pulling it forward. Remove the screws and pressure hose that secures water level control to washer console.
Remove and discard the defective water level control. NOTE: Upon examination of the faulty water level control, it may appear that the control can be adjusted for the proper water level setting. This control is calibrated by the manufacturer and under no circumstance should you tamper with the adjustment screw. Simply replace the unit.
Install the replacement water level control by mounting it in the same position as the defective unit that was removed. Follow the instructions that are provided in the replacement part water level control kit. If no installation steps are provided , reverse the above steps.
